The course aims to provide parent/carers with an introduction to IT /Computing and its current use in schools.
Outcomes
You will learn to:
- Understand the basics of word processing and desk top publishing skills
- Understand how computing is taught in schools to support children’s learning
- Research information on the internet and present it appropriately
- Sample spreadsheet and presentation software, as appropriate
- Understand the basics of programming and control technology
- You will also carry out set tasks and engage in positive discussion with your child during joint sessions
