Investigations in Science and Maths

Duration: 10 hours


Summary

This course will help you develop knowledge, understanding and skills in relation to the types of investigations that are carried out in primary classrooms. You will be able to discover and learn about the relationships between maths and science. This course takes 10 or 12 hours to complete (5 sessions of 2 hours or 4 of 3 hours).


Outcomes

Learners will engage in typical classroom activities that guide them towards addressing the following key questions:

  • What number patterns might be investigated?
  • What units are used to make measurements?
  • How might number problems be solved?
  • How might data be collected and interpreted?
  • What properties of objects and substances might be investigated?
