E-Safety for Parents and Carers
Duration: 10 hours
Summary
This course will help to provide parents and carers with an understanding of safety issues around their children and use of technology.
Outcomes
This course runs over a period of 5 weeks (5 sessions of 2 hours).
- Learners will understand the positive impact of technology on the lives of their child/children
- Learners will gain confidence in sharing their concerns with their child/children
- Learners will be able to put preventative measures in place to help towards keeping their child/children safe whilst using technology
Progression
- Computer courses for beginners or those wanting to gain a qualification
- English, IT or maths in a school setting, ‘Step Ahead’
- Community English or maths courses to gain a functional skills qualification
