Summary
Get Ready for English/ESOL and Maths is a one day assessment session, which provides you with information about the English/ESOL and maths courses that we offer. We will also work with you during the session, to identity your current skills levels and identify your goals; we can then offer you a course that suits your needs.
Outcomes
- English and maths are essential skills that can help you in all aspects of your life, from managing the household budget to gaining employment
- We will introduce you to Realise Futures explaining how the courses are structured, how we assess you throughout your learning journey and what qualifications are available
- You will complete assessments in English/ESOL and maths; these will let you, and us, know which level course is the right one for you
- Please bring with you a pen, pencil and A4 lined note pad
Progression
The Get Ready course is the first step towards an English/ESOL and/or maths course. English and maths courses are designed to focus on your skills gaps, supporting you to make progress towards a full qualification, where appropriate. You can progress with us from Entry Level up to Level 2.
