Health and Safety in the Workplace: Level 2

Duration: 7 hours


Summary

This course will ensure that all employees are aware of their own safety and the safety of customers, contractors and the public. Employers are responsible for safe and healthy workplace conditions and this will give you the right knowledge and attitudes.


Outcomes

On this one-day course, you will discuss and explore the following topics:

  • Understand the principles of health and safety and accident prevention
  • Why risk assessment is important and understanding hazards, risk and causes of harm
  • Why and how to follow important procedures and rules
  • What the responsibilities of employers and employees are
  • Complete a multiple-choice assessment under exam conditions

Progression

On completion, you may want to enrol on our employability courses, Highfield Food Safety in Catering Level 2, Emergency First Aid for the Workplace, English, Maths and ICT.
