Introduction to Skills for Creative Digital Design

Summary
Did you know there is a growing demand for jobs needing digital skills in Suffolk? Are you interested in learning about digital skills or updating your knowledge towards employment? This workshop will introduce you to the important aspects of digital design from developing a website, choosing a domain name, how to manipulate images as well as helping you develop your analytical skills through product investigation and understanding of marketing and promotion. You will build your creative design skills ready to progress onto the Skills for Creative Digital course or employment.
Outcomes
During the course you will complete various activities and tasks:
- Identify different websites and choose a format you prefer
- Select an appropriate domain name and consider costs
- Consider colour schemes, use of images and text
- Know how to develop you own site and upload your images
- Be able to write, edit and upload information for your site
- Visit domain name web sites and select own brand name and consider costs
- Investigate appropriate social media sights to use for promotion of your business
