Paper, Paint and Play

Duration: 10 hours

Summary

This course is aimed at promoting understanding of how parents/carers can support the learning and development of children 2 years to 3 years old. This course takes 8 or 10 hours to complete (four or five sessions of two hours). This course is usually delivered over 4 or 5 weeks x 2 hours.

Outcomes

  • Spend time and interact together on a range of creative and practical activities
  • Develop children’s listening skills through stories
  • Develop children’s language and communication skills
  • Make resources linked to the stories heard
  • Explore children’s learning through the early years foundation stage
  • Learn new skills to share at home

Progression

We provide a wide range of courses that you can progress on to, to further develop your skills:

  • Travel Together Through Books – Support Your Child
  • Step Ahead in English, IT or maths in a school setting.
  • Community English or maths courses to gain a functional skills qualification
