Summary
This short six session course will combine theory with practical tasks to get you started in exploring different types of cybercrime and how you can enhance cybersecurity at home and at work.
Outcomes
- On this three week course, you will be exploring all things cybercrime. You will explore different types of cybercrime including phishing, identity theft and hacking and the motives behind them and how they can affect individuals and organisations.
- You will identify methods in which to carry out routine testing for cybercrime including installing the correct anti-virus software, the importance of taking care of personal information and setting access rights. You will also explore the current UK legislation which apply to and underpin everything related to cybersecurity.
- You will develop a short portfolio of evidence during the course which will result in a certificate for ‘Gateway Level 1 Award in Cybersecurity ‘.
