Story Sacks (With Children Attending)

Summary
A story sack is a large cloth bag containing a child’s favourite book with supporting materials to help develop children’s language skills. This course will take parents/carers through the process of making a story sack for their child whilst also learning about the impact this can have on a child’s developing English skills.
Outcomes
- Understand the learning goals appropriate to children of this age
- Understand how parents/grandparents or carers can support a child’s learning through making and using a story sack together
- Discuss experiences with other parents
- Develop your relationship with your child
- This course takes 10 hours to complete (5 sessions of 2 hours).
Children can attend this course with a parent/grandparent or carer.
