August News Roundup

August has been an eventful month for Realise Futures, so we thought a News Roundup blog post was in order.

Poppy’s Pantry Norfolk Relaunch

A big thank you to all that attended our Relaunch Event. It proved to be a great success. A special thank you goes to all of our staff who were kept super busy, (L-R from middle of second photo) Wymondham Mayor Cllr Suzanne Nuri Nixon, Cllr Lucy Nixon , Cllr Alex Perry, Cllr Annette James – Wymondham Town Council, Waitrose & Partners for their donation to purchase a new coffee machine, Visit Wymondham and their kind assistance with promotion of the relaunch, along with every single customer who came on the day and tried out our new menu.

Poppy’s Pantry Norfolk held their relaunch event at their Wymondham shop and café with “more of what you love” on Monday 5th August 2024.

The Middleton Street shop/café gave out a limited supply of free Poppy’s Pantry pin badges for those that attended, made by hand at our sister site in Melton, Suffolk. Customers tried out free tasters too, fresh from the newly expanded kitchen.

Poppy’s Pantry have been listening to their customers and are delivering “more of what you love” …

An expanded and refurbished kitchen area is allowing for a more varied menu, and increased scope of activities for those working at Poppy’s Pantry Norfolk.

With a generous community donation from Waitrose, Poppy’s Pantry Norfolk has a new coffee machine, put to good use by the new barista-trained team members.

The popular refill stations remain and the shop now stocks even more local products, including honey sourced from just six miles away.

A renewed focus on local quality products has meant more floor space for the café, vital for the growing community groups Poppy’s works with, and increased café custom.

“This relaunch allows us to re-engage with the community, with new staff, stock and menu choices. It provides the wellbeing colleagues with a sense of purpose along with the social inclusion they deserve.” – Clare Stiles, Manager of Poppy’s Pantry Norfolk.

We were even in the local press: Eastern Daily Press (edp24.co.uk)
